Despite increasing competition in the compact SUV segment, the Honda CR-V remains a consumer favorite. The 2023 Honda CR-V offers improved handling dynamics, more horsepower, and greater cargo capacity. All CR-V trims are reasonably priced yet provide comfortable, attractive interiors and generous standard features. Apple CarPlay is among the most desired amenities. Some newer vehicles even provide wireless functionality. So, do any 2023 Honda CR-V trims have wireless Apple CarPlay?

Honda offers the 2023 CR-V in four trims: EX, Sport Hybrid, EX-L, and Sport Touring Hybrid. Auto Stereo

Which 2023 Honda CR-V Trims Have Wireless Apple CarPlay?

The standard EX starts at $31,110. It packs a 190-hp turbo-four engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Models equipped with optional real-time all-wheel drive actually get the better fuel economy of the two drivetrains, estimated at 29 mpg city/highway combined. Even the front-wheel-drive models have a drive-mode system for managing snowy terrain.

The interior features cloth seating for five and heated front seats. Every 2023 Honda CR-V also has a power moonroof.

Starting at $32,450, the CR-V Sport Hybrid adds dual-zone automatic climate control. This model features a turbo-four engine and two electric motors generating 204 hp. It gets 38 mpg city/highway combined.

The hybrid powertrain still includes a CVT and standard FWD, though it has an extra drive mode for sportier handling. The 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid also features dual chrome exhausts, roof rails, and stylish orange interior stitching.

The CR-V EX-L starts at $33,760 and boasts upscale features such as a power liftgate and leather-trimmed seats.

The Sport Touring Hybrid retails for $38,600 and includes standard AWD and a hands-free power liftgate. This model also has driver’s seat memory settings.

Every 2023 Honda CR-V trim has Apple CarPlay, but only the top two — the EX-L and Sport Touring Hybrid — have the wireless version.

Wireless Apple CarPlay allows you to connect a compatible iPhone to the vehicle’s infotainment system via Bluetooth instead of a USB cable. After completing the wireless pairing, you can access text messages and other apps on your phone through the car’s infotainment screen.

Insider reports that Apple CarPlay will get a massive update at the end of 2023. It will let CarPlay extend functionality to any digital gauge cluster in a compatible vehicle and still show important driver diagnostic information. Also, Apple will add more widgets and display customizations to the interface.

Though wireless smartphone pairing offers more convenience, the standard Apple CarPlay in the standard 2023 Honda CR-V EX still works well. This trim also includes Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen.

In addition, the Honda Sensing safety suite includes blind-spot monitors, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping technology. It also has traffic sign recognition and a multi-angle camera — two features sometimes reserved for pricier trims.

The 2023 Honda CR-V EX-L includes an upgraded 9.0-inch touchscreen, a wireless charging pad, and wireless Android Auto. It also provides two extra audio speakers.

However, the Sport Hybrid Touring boasts top-of-the-line Bose speakers. It’s also the only trim with USB ports in the second row and a standard navigation system.

Both the CR-V EX-L and Sport Touring Hybrid have standard parking sensors.
