According to reports, Kia noted that this charging station would also be able to meet the demands of EVs from other OEMs in terms of charging. With a 150kWh capacity, Kia built Gurgaon's quickest EV charger in July of this year. By the end of this month, the business hopes to have 15 such EV rapid charging stations installed around India.

Myung-Sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, gave a speech at the event and stated, "These are exciting times for EVs. We intend to not just be a part of the mobility revolution of EVs in India but to make EV ownership aspirational, affordable, and inclusive. The Kia EV6, our best EV globally, which was introduced in India earlier this year, is the ideal example of our ideology. Therefore, I am quite happy to announce the opening of this 240kWh DC fast charger for EV passenger vehicles in Kochi.
